Joshua Karton
Dr. Joshua Karton is an Associate Professor in the Queen's University Faculty of Law. He holds a BA from Yale, a JD from Columbia, and a PhD in Law from Cambridge. His teaching and research focus on international arbitration, international and comparative contract law, transnational legal theory, and globalization and law. He also sits regularly as an arbitrator in international and domestic disputes.
Professor Karton is the author or editor of four books and dozens of articles in his areas of interest. He co-founded and remains the Managing Editor of the Canadian Journal of Commercial Arbitration, is a Book Review Editor of the American Journal of Comparative Law, and a General Editor of Kluwer Arbitration Practical Insights.
He is a Vice Chair of the Institute for Transnational Arbitration's Academic Council, an elected member of the International Academy of Comparative Law, and a member of the board of directors of the Vis East Moot Foundation.
