Dr. Henry Forbes Smith KC
Dr Henry Forbes Smith KC has a LLB (Hons) from the University of Otago, a BCL from the University of Oxford, where he was a Vinerian Scholar and a Domus & Harmsworth Senior Scholar, and a PhD from the University of Cambridge, where his thesis concerned the conflict of public laws.
He has practised New Zealand law with Chapman Tripp, New York law with Davis Polk, and English law as a member of One Essex Court since 2005, focusing on international disputes. He has worked on transactions and cases involving parties from over 50 states, many of which involved states.
